Year 6 were 'treated' to a day as a poor Victorian child. They dressed in their finest tatty clothes to travel to Bradford Industrial Museum. On arrival they were met by the strict Ma'am who led them to the school room. After being inspected for lice and practising the three Rs, the children were free to explore the sorts of textile and engineering machinery that children may have worked on during Victorian times. They also visited the printing room, the stables, back-to-back housing and the mill manager's house. A great day but ultimately glad to get back to 2025!
