Kingfishers and Owls classes walked along the canal and onto Bradley Moor. First, they went to the long barrow, a Neolithic burial site. There they talked about how, when the site was excavated in 1930, burnt and unburnt bones and some flints were found here which dated from the Neolithic period.  The children discussed the different types of burials from the
Paleolithic, through Mesolithic and Neolithic to Bronze Age and what changed and what stayed the same. Finally, they went to the round cairn Bronze Age burial site and talked about what historians think about Bronze Age burials.
