Last Friday saw the latest protest for climate change and as a school we marked this by making banners and marched around the field. This is an issue that is not going away and something that gripped Greta Thunberg so much that she sat alone, one Friday, outside the Swedish parliament to protest the lack of action taken to protect our planet. Roll forward to today and her passionate speech to world leaders at the Climate Action Summit shatters the myth that one lone voice will never make a difference. We voted for our school council this week and on EVERY Manifesto that was read was the need to reverse the destruction of our planet. As a school, we stand collectively as courageous advocates for change and will be working hard over the coming months to reduce our school carbon footprint.
