Homeless

Kildwick CE school children have been encouraged to think about others who are less fortunate than themselves this Christmas. Every year they ask children and their families to take part in a Reverse Advent. This year children have been given a list of items outlined by local charity 'Homeless not Hopeless'. Children brought in one or two items or shoe boxes filled with items such as; socks, lip balm, sweets, hand cream, washing items and Christmas cards. These were then delivered to the charity in Keighley to distribute over the festive period. A representative from the charity will be visiting the school in January to talk to the children about the work of the charity.

Homeless Not Hopeless is a small but dedicated voluntary organisation that provides practical support to the homeless and those in need in the local area. The outreach team serve food and hand out clothing, toiletries and necessities every week.
