Year Six pupils enjoyed taking part in their annual careers fair, giving them the opportunity to explore a wide range of future career possibilities.
Throughout the event, children spoke with visitors from a variety of professions and asked thoughtful questions about their roles. They were keen to find out what qualifications and experiences had led people into their chosen careers, as well as discussing some of the rewards and challenges that different jobs can bring.
The fair featured representatives from several occupations and local businesses. Visitors included volunteers from the NHS, working in both pharmacy and nursing, members of the police force, representatives from the Football Association (FA), and staff from Fives Landis. Pupils also had the chance to learn about careers in data engineering and software development, while one visitor shared fascinating insights into life as a ship’s captain.
The event provided an excellent opportunity for pupils to broaden their horizons and gain a greater understanding of the many different pathways available to them in the future.
