Miss Akrigg and Mrs Fenlan took 15 children to an exciting gymnastics competition at Ambition Gymnastics in Cross Hills today. The event proved so popular that names had to be drawn from a hat, and those who were unable to attend will be prioritised for the next opportunity. We are very grateful for the enthusiasm and interest shown by all.
The talent for gymnastics at Kildwick School was clear to see. The children worked incredibly hard, behaved beautifully, and were a real credit to the school throughout the afternoon.
During the competition, the children took part in a variety of gymnastics activities including vaulting, floor routines and balancing on the beam. They demonstrated impressive skills such as jumps, rolls, balances and coordinated sequences, showing excellent strength, flexibility and control.
It was a wonderful afternoon, made even more special by the many first and second place finishes, and to top it all off, Kildwick School were crowned overall winners of the competition!
