Back in the autumn term, Owls class planted broad beans (along with other vegetables) in the community garden. The recent wet and warm weather had resulted in a bumper crop ready for harvest. The children picked the beans one afternoon and brought them back to class. They sat and removed the beans from their pods before presenting them to school cook, Donna. She plans to include them in next week's school lunches and at cooking club.
