Nine boys were chosen to represent Kildwick School in a football tournament at South Craven School on Wednesday 23rd October. The team were made up of 7 players-a-side on the pitch so different players took it in turns to be the substitute. The team of boys from Years 5 and 6 went prepared wearing the school football top, football socks and shin pads. The team was met at South Craven School by former Kildwick pupil, Archie, who helped warm up and manage the team throughout the tournament. Many parents came to watch and enjoyed cheering on the team from Kildwick. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the highs and lows of the games. Although not ultimately victorious, there was some terrific defending, an outstanding goal and a penalty was met with a superb save!
