Class 3 - Home Learning Newsletter
Dear all Parents / Carers of Class 3 pupils,
We hope that you are all well and coping during these unusual times that we are all facing. We hope that you had an enjoyable Easter break and were able to enjoy some time together as a family.
We would like to thank you for the engagement that we have had so far with Google Classroom. It is great to see so many of the children getting involved with the activities that we have set. We love seeing the photos that they children are posting and the comments that they are leaving. It is great that they can all still interact.
We will continue to upload activities on a Monday morning for your child to complete over the course of the week. We aim to make the activities accessible for all children so that they can work independently. There will be a range of activities and we would like all children to have a go at some.
If you are still unable to access Google Classroom - please let us know via email to [email protected].
Please do continue to get in touch with us via the email if there is anything we can do to help you during these times.
Stay safe,
Mrs Sharples and Mrs Manthorp
Home Learning Timetable
The activities will be posted on Google Classroom on Monday so that you are able to prepare for the week ahead so that there is flexibility with what pupils learn and when.
This is an idea of how a timetable could look so that the learning time is structured.

Science is all about Plants; what they need to grow and how they reproduce and disperse their seeds. |
History |
History this half term is the Romans! We will be setting lots of activities on Google Classroom so that pupils can learn all about the Romans and their Empire. |
Art / DT |
In Art and DT we will be setting children a range of creative activities. Some will be related to the Romans and some will be from BBC online. |
Music |
We would like you to keep singing during this time! Hopefully we will be able to pop some of our songs from Collective Worship on Google Classroom so you can have a sing a long at home! |
P.E. |
Please continue to keep fit by taking part in daily exercise. This could be a walk, a bike ride or an online exercise class. |
P.S.H.E. |
We would like you pupils to use PSHCE time to concentrate on mental health and wellbeing. We will set activities around this. |
ICT |
Lots of computing will be taking place as we learn remotely! Pupils may initially need some guidance from you on using Google Docs and Google Slides but as they practice more they will quickly develop their skills and confidence. |
Spanish |
Class 3 love Spanish so I will set a few consolidation activities and challenges to learn some new words. |
