In late autumn and early winter when the trees are bare, the sky is often full of spectacular sunsets and sunrises that can be observed through the branches.
We painted the sky using watercolours and then once the background was dry we painted the silhouettes of winter trees using finer brushes and black ready mixed paint.
We also learnt to make paper snowflakes and 3D origami Christmas trees. We have one more session on Thursday 15th December when the children will be able to take their completed art work home.
We will be finishing the KS2 art club with Christmas activities and seasonal crafts.
