Year Six were joined by Emmerdale script writer, Jo Maris to work on their script writing skills. This linked into a unit they have been studying in computing where they have been working on writing their own scripts.
Jo discussed her job with the children before showing them some clips of the show that she had written and sharing actual Emmerdale scripts with them. This showed the class how sometimes even a finished script will be edited as the actors perform it. Year Six then went on to work on their own dramatic soap opera style scripts before performing them to class.
