Eight keen Kildwick scientists visited the Science & Media Museum in Bradford last week. The trip was organised by the Craven Partnership to promote an interest in science from a wider range of children. Five schools (Bradley, Cononley, Kildwick, and Sutton-in-Craven) participated in the visit and it was funded by the Ogden Trust.  The schools are in their fourth year of collaborating to improve the science curriculum in their respective schools.

On arrival, the pupils were shown around the galleries before taking part in taught session about light. There was then more time to explore the exhibits until it was time to 'hands on' in the Wonderlab and lost in the hall of mirrors!  Finally, the group had the opportunity to experience the visual spectacle of the IMAX cinema where they watched a documentary about Antarctica in 3D!
