Owls and Kingfishers class took a starring role in our Easter production of ‘Roll Back The Stone’. This show presented the Easter story in seven songs with short linking narratives. The cantata opened with a ‘Hosanna Jesus’ - that told of the journey along crowd-lined roads into Jerusalem. The story then moved on to Judas’ betrayal, the Last Supper, Jesus’ trial, mockery and crucifixion, finishing with the joyful resurrection song ‘Roll Back The Stone’. It was fantastic to see those children that had volunteered for parts really take the opportunity to shine and impress us all with their confident singing, acting and narration. A big thank you to parents and carers that supported at home with costumes and rehearsals.
